How did it all start?

This blog will be a very personal account of running a rescue and will be very much my own views, opinons and stories. I am hoping it will give an insight into how hard it is

History of Paws

Started in September 2017, Paws was born after helping Lucy Irvine rehome many of her dogs from Sliven but then wanting to help more local to Pavlikeni.

At first the idea was to just be a fundraiser and not take any dogs on ourselves. Now I guess this was an impossible dream and almost as soon as we started people asked us to help and its impossible to say no when its friends that ask.

So during the summer of 2018 the mission statement changed and we have become a small rescue using a network of foster homes and keeping the numbers small and giving that personal touch which gives the dogs a better chance at a new life.

Rilas Dream then become our sister charity during December 2018 and will be a massive step in the right direction (Germany) to finding these dogs fantastic new homes.
